The Client

ICM Castings Ltd are a well-established manufacturer of precision castings. For over 50 years this company has been a key player in its sector. After working tirelessly for over 50 years, the owner of ICM was looking for a clearance solution to enable him to retire without the hassle of having to individually sell his machines.

The Brief

We were approached by the owner in April 23 to see if we could help him sell his machinery. What New England could offer was an even better solution for his retirement needs. The client needed to clear all machinery and equipment out of his warehouse so he could hand it back to his landlord.

Disposal Solution – Full Site Clearance

We offered an outright purchase option which meant a guaranteed price for all ICM’s assets. Within this bespoke option, we offered our full site clearance option. A full site clearance solution provides the client with a full project team. We manage the whole site clearance from start to finish. We disconnected, decommissioned, and drained all machines taking away any pressure from our client. We prepared all machinery and equipment for sale, by cleaning them ready for auction. Once all machines and equipment were catalogued, we uploaded all assets online to our auction platform. We marketed the sale online to our worldwide database, in sector-specific magazines and publications. We hosted viewing days for interested buyers and managed and coordinated these visits with our project managers.

The Auction day

The auction day was a great success, we sold 97% of all machinery and equipment with over 50 individual lots being presented.

The Site Clearance

Once all buyers had been contacted and payment was collected, our site clearance team does what they do best. Manage and coordinate the clearance days. We managed and organised each lot to be collected, either with the buyer or their transport provider. The coordination of the clearance needs to work like clockwork as normally the clients are on a tight deadline to be out of the premises.

Within a week all, assets were collected, or bought back to our warehouse to ensure the building was empty. Our team then swept through the site to ensure that everything was collected and cleaned ready for handover to the client.

Feedback

The Client was relieved and impressed with the whole process. It’s a daunting task having to clear years’ worth of equipment and tooling. New England presented a fantastic disposal solution. To be able to provide a full turnkey disposal solution with a site clearance was the perfect strategy. The factory was handed back to the landlord in time and in a clean presentable state.
