Auction Project Coordinator – Industrial and Commercial Machinery/Equipment

As an independent Auctioneer, New England has been buying and selling used industrial and commercial machinery and equipment to UK and worldwide businesses for over 50 years. Due to the recent growth, New England is looking to appoint a dedicated and ambitious Auction Project Coordinator to join our team. This is a fast-paced, dynamic role and would suit any machinery enthusiast.

The Job role

The Auction coordinator is an integral role within the business. You will be involved in the whole auction process which will involve overnight stays and travelling to sites nationally. Based at our head office in the West Midlands your key responsibilities will be –

  • Manage a portfolio of projects – From start-up to sale day and clearance.
  • Oversee all administration for each of your managed projects.
  • To catalogue and list all plant and equipment details. To create asset schedules, and descriptions and upload lots onto the auction company software. Ensuring all lots are accurately uploaded with correct descriptions.
  • Preparation of equipment pre-auction
  • Liaise with potential buyers and sellers and coordinate viewing days.
  • Resolve any queries and advise sellers on transport options and collection days.
  • H&S Compliant and to ensure the site is H&S compliant.
  • Preparation of marketing and working closely with the marketing department
  • Work with our accounts department to ensure all payments are received and the sale can be signed off.
  • A hands-on attitude which may require lifting and moving of equipment for cataloguing.

A bit about you

  • Ideally you will have an engineering background and/or be able to recognise machinery and commercial equipment.
  • You must be flexible and willing to work potentially longer hours for auction/site preparation.
  • You must be highly motivated with a can-do attitude.
  • Confident with communicating on different corporate levels.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Experience on data entry is essential with proficiency on Microsoft excel/word/outlook

The Lead Generation specialist is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads to support the Project Managers & Directors.

The role is in the driving seat for sourcing, generating and building new business for our organisation. This means you are responsible for identifying sales leads, sourcing new opportunities and potential clients. You will build on excellent communication skills and product knowledge to pitch to new and prospective clients.

You will need to be creative with the ability to think outside the box, proactive in pursuing new opportunities and strategic in your thinking and approach. As a lead generator you’ll frequently liaise with the likes of marketing and finance, so commercial awareness and good business sense are essential.

Producing pitches and presentations, identifying, qualifying and speaking with business opportunities and tracking your leads will be daily tasks. Building business relationships with clients will also be essential. 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including prospect lists, current customers and individual research.

Main Duties include:

  • Introductory calls
  • Log information on company CRM (Sales Force)
  • Evaluate market trends, gather competitive and customer information
  • Developing and executing sales plans to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals

Labourer/site supervisor for Online Auctioneer of Industrial & Commercial Equipment in the West Midlands – Driving Licence essential

New England have grown into one of the UK’s fastest growing Industrial Auctioneers which now attracts disposal projects from Blue Chip companies, SME’s, private companies and asset based lenders.

New England continues to invest in people and technology to ensure they can offer the best possible service to their clients and customers. The company offers a range of disposal solutions to customers’ asset disposal needs, whether that be single items or complete plants.

This role will be for a self employed labourer / site supervisor to support the project manager and site management in the preparation of assets and site clearance. This will involve cleaning of equipment and sites and lifting heavy items. You will be confident and professional liaising with customers regarding the collection of lots to ensure a smooth handover. The ideal candidate must be prepared to travel nationally, potentially work away from home, and have their own transport (travel and accommodation expenses will be covered). Our Head Office is in the West Midlands and you will require to work from here too. Forklift licence preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of Manufacturing & Engineering equipment

This is initially for a 3 month contract, but potential for contract extensions or even fulltime employment.

Life Inside Our Office

We are a small team of 8, and are looking for someone who wants to grow and develop with the company. You must be hands on and willing to muck in as and where required.  Based in Oldbury, we are located in a Factory which has a small office on the top floor. We have a 15,000sq ft warehouse with a 20 Tonne overhead crane to help us move machinery and equipment.

We are a fun friendly team that have been established for over 50 years. Being part of the team means you become one of the family!
